Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai is a Marathi movie released on 11 June 2010. Produced by Mirah Entertainment Pvt Ltd and directed by Satish Rajwade. Characters are played by Mukta Barve & Swapnil Joshi

The movie is based on a love story between a boy and girl from different cities and how their competitive spirits get them together.

The primitiveness of the "Arranged marriage system" troubles the urban youth but is certainly a fallback option for those who cannot find an alliance for themselves. Yet the discomfort doesn't go away. Films, especially Marathi films, have now and again tried to come up with novel ways to deal with this awkwardness. Mumbai Pune Mumbai is one of them and despite its impracticalness, the idea has potential.

Besides the basic one line concept, the dialogue between two complete strangers is written really well and delivered in a decent manner too. The chemistry shared between people who have just met but for some reason or the other end up spending a day together is beautifully directed and enacted. While Swapnil Joshi behaves more like a 15-year old but it is fairly easy to ignore those moments considering his character's insight about relationships.

The effort the writers have taken to address issues in a relationship is obvious. Concepts like being "too loyal to ones' emotions" or showing relief that a guy senses when he realizes that the crying girl is not upset because of him are some examples of the nuances captured.

Ironically, the writing department is also one of the few issues that keep it from being a must-must watch in the theatre. Almost as if to justify the title of the film, the Mumbaikar-Puneri fight takes a bit too far.

The theory by itself is interesting enough to make it 'to watch' list. Especially, if you are on the hunt, the arranged marriage way.

Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta (एका लग्नाची दुसरी गोष्ट) was the Indian Marathi language TV serial aired on Zee Marathi from 16 January 2012 to 25 August 2012. The show starred Mukta Barve and Swapnil Joshi in lead roles.

The series largely talks about contract marriage system which is becoming a hot trend in today’s modern world. It emphasizes advantages of living in a combined family and preserves Indian culture. Second important issue is foreign job opportunities which are attracting youngsters to go and settle in foreign countries.

     Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta also touches happily ended love marriage issue and relationship between divorced couples. The one and The only main stream attraction of the serial are ‘Ghanashyam and Radha’ played by Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve respectively. Series has newbie’s as well as experienced actors in it. All characters are suitable at their place.

     Ghanashyam’s funny family is another reason behind popularity of serial. All the characters e.g. Ghana’s uncles, brothers and aunts played well during entire series.

     Title song is totally funny. Love song called ‘Tujhya Vina…’ is romantic. It is one of the romantic songs to have in your phone (provided you are fond of Marathi songs). It feels lovely when played during rains.

     Radha’s typical style of throwing dialogue is fabulous. All dialogues are so realistic that audience feels them very close to their heart. Length:

     With catchy title and funny characters, Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta achieved their goal and ascertained their place in the heart of Marathi viewers.
